A better place for personal questions

When you type something personal on ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or another AI chat, about your health, mental health, sexuality, faith, money or legal trouble, Kamelo shows a short notice. It suggests a temporary chat, which stays out of your history and isn’t used for training. Or Melo, where Chrome’s built-in AI answers on your own computer.

Melo, faster

The AI on your computer gets ready as soon as the window opens. Your question appears right away, and the answer is written out smoothly. Start a new chat, or switch between chats. A question from the notice opens as a new chat, and is asked as soon as the AI is ready.

Better at noticing personal topics

Kamelo understands more of the way people really type, like “im” and “idk”, and more everyday words for symptoms, low mood and payment trouble. In Chrome, when the word list finds nothing, Kamelo asks Chrome’s built-in AI as a second check, after you pause typing. Only if the model is already on your computer: Kamelo never downloads it for this. Your text stays on your device and isn’t stored.

Simpler, with fewer permissions

The popup now has just three things: the switch, Melo and a temporary chat. Kamelo only runs on the AI chat sites it knows, instead of on every website.

Masking moved to Kamelo Business

Replacing names and details with placeholders is now part of Kamelo Business. With this update, Kamelo deletes everything it kept on your device for masking: the vault (also a locked one), the monthly overview and your word lists.
