AI doesn't need to know everything

Kamelo's mission is to let everyone use AI without giving away their personal data.

Every day, people ask AI about their health, their relationships and their money: things they’d only tell a friend. You shouldn’t have to stop using AI to stay private. So we made Melo, a private AI that answers on your own device: as an app, or in your browser. And when a question gets personal in another AI chat, Kamelo offers a more private place to ask.

Kamelo comes from chameleon

A chameleon blends into its surroundings and doesn't stand out. Your personal data should do the same.

What we believe

  1. Your data stays with you

Melo answers on your own device, as an app or in your browser. The browser extension is open source, line by line.

  2. Honest about limits

Kamelo can miss things, and your AI account still knows it’s you. We’d rather say so.

  3. Made in the Netherlands

Built in the Netherlands, under EU privacy rules.

  4. Free to start

No account, no sign-up. Melo for your browser is free: add it and it works.
